Adventure Camps

Adventure Camp

Welcome to our Adventure Camp program! Adventure Camp offers a community oriented environment in which children have fun as they sample different activities throughout the day.

How It Works: Adventure Camp is open to all children in rising grades K5 – 5.  Camp hours run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily.  You may register your child to receive snacks from our Camp Canteen or you may bring snacks from home.  All campers should bring a lunch from home.  Please put sunscreen on your child each day before camp.  Campers should also wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.  Each day allows for new adventures your child will not want to miss!  One thing we can guarantee – no two weeks of Adventure Camp will be the same!

Our Staff: Adventure Camp staff are some of the best you could imagine!  Our staff are chosen for their proven experience working with children.  All leaders are college graduates who love teaching and guiding children in discovery through meaningful activities and experiences.  We seek positive role models who are bursting with enthusiasm and energy.  Our assisting counselors have all passed a careful interview and screening process and are often CCES alumni or current CCES students working in our Counselor-in-Training program.  We take our staff hiring and training seriously, as they are the heart and soul of our program!

Cost: $200/week, unless otherwise noted. Register for 8 weeks and receive $100 off the total cost.  Register for all 10 weeks and receive $150 off.  Cost includes all supplies, field trips, and a camp tee shirt.  Each camper receives one tee shirt for the summer.

Little Adventurers

The Little Adventurers program is a perfect way to introduce your child to the camping experience.  Classes maintain a 1:8 counselor-to-camper ratio to ensure individualized attention throughout the day.  Our program is led by CCES Primer teacher, Laura Huguley, an experienced and loving elementary and preschool teacher.  Miss Laura will guide your child through activities designed to explore what camp is all about while providing the nurturing your child needs to discover how to build friendships with classmates and confidence in the skills needed for school.  Laura is passionate about education and with over 20 years of experience as a teacher in both preschool and elementary settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge about developing preschoolers into confident children.

Programs will involve a mixture of outdoor and indoor activities, based on each week’s theme.  Camp activities include: arts & crafts creations, outdoor exploration, learning through pretending, book basics, and circle time sharing.

Camp Details:

From 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  Cost is $130/week.  Campers may bring their own snack or register to receive a snack from our canteen.

To Participate in Little Adventurers: Campers must be four years old by September 1, 2012.  All children must be fully potty-trained.  We understand that accidents happen and are prepared to deal with any appropriately.  However, if these accidents are a continual problem, your child may be dismissed from the program.  All campers are asked to bring a bag the first day with a change of clothes.  The bag will be returned on Friday.
