Coach David Wilcox announced that of the 35 students selected nationally as 2009 Scholar All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), two are CCES students: seniors Shion Nagasaka and Christopher Woody.

This means that CCES captured 6% of these prestigious awards nationally. Only three schools in the United States had two players who received this honor.

To become a Scholar All-American, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale), must have demonstrated excellence in soccer at the high school level, and must have performed service in his or her community.

Coach David Wilcox, who has led the last nine CCES teams to Division 1 state championships, nominated Nagasaka and Woody for the awards.
