being named the Greenville County Girls Basketball
Coach of the Year.

CCES Girls Varsity Basketball
Back-to-Back State Champions!
Congratulations to Coach Sally Pielou, Coach
George Beam, and the entire CCES girls' varsity
basketball team for repeating as South Carolina Class A State
Champions. They defeated Hardeeville HS 47-38 in a thrilling
and tension-filled game this past Saturday at the Colonial
Life Arena in Columbia.

Congratulations to CCES Girls Basketball team members Erin
Carter, Hayden Latham, Katie Thomason and Coach Sally
Pielou.
Erin and Hayden were both selected by the South Carolina
Basketball Coaches Association for the Class A All-State
team.
Hayden was voted Girls Class A Player
of the Year for the state.
Both Hayden and Katie surpassed the 1,000
career point milestone during the season.
Erin was selected as one of 12 seniors from all four classifications
to represent the Upper State in the North-South Senior
All-Star Game. Coach Pielou will serve as an assistant
coach for the North team in that game. The game will be played
March 20 at North Myrtle Beach High School. The girls game
is at 11:30 AM.
Erin was also selected play on the Greenville
County All-Star team that will play a game against
All-Stars from Spartanburg County. This game will take place
at Byrnes H.S. Saturday March 13 at 6:30.
Georgia Haas and Katie Thomason
will participate in the Greenville County Senior All-Star
game at Woodmont H.S. Friday March 12. That game
will start at 6:00.
Alex Phillips will play in the boys game
that follows. That game should start around 7:45.

The
South Carolina High School Soccer Coaches Association
preseason rankings were released and our Boys' team is ranked
number 1 in Class A and the Girls' team is ranked number 4
in Class AA/A.
Thanks
to the CCES Cavalier Booster Club for their generosity in
the renovation of the tennis Courts and batting cages.
