CCES junior J.K. Jay will receive the star treatment
next January when he joins 80 of the best high school football players
in the country at the 2009 Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando,
Florida, on Sunday, January 4, 2009.

All-America Game jersey. Number 9 will be the player to watch as
the game is televised on ESPN.
J.K.
Jay received a call from Craig Haubert of ESPN, who invited him
to play in the Under Armour All-American football game at the Citrus
Bowl. Jay and his fellow All-Americans will be the guests of Disney
World and Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando for five days
leading up to the game.
Players will participate in practice sessions and in the Burger
King Skills Challenge, which will be aired on ESPN2, where Jay will
have the opportunity to go head to head with other top left tackles
in the country.

The star football athlete with his parents,
Gina and Jerome Jay.
Each year ESPN recruiters select the top 150 high school junior
players in the country, evaluating players based on size, speed,
technique, game stats, and college potential. From that pool, the
top 80 players in the nation are selected as All-Americans and they
are invited to participate in this major event.
On
April 2 representatives from the Greenville broadcast and print
media interviewed J.K. about his invitation to play in the All-America
game. Jay told them, "This is a great honor and I feel blessed
to be in this position. Last year I had an injury that kept me out
for the entire season. During that time I had an opportunity to
reflect on some things and get closer to God. This is a great honor
for me and for the school."
Under
Armour will fly J.K. Jay and Head Football Coach Frost
to Orlando first class, and they will be staying on the Disney Property
at one of their resorts. According to ESPN, "The week preceding
the game will be packed with exciting activities both on and off
the field."
Congratulations,
J.K.! We'll be watching you in a few months on ESPN!
