At the May 2 Upper School assembly, Girls Varsity Basketball Coach
Sally Pielou recognized senior Katherine
Latham for scoring 290 points during her senior year, bringing
Latham's total career points to 1249.
Pielou noted that Latham surpassed the record set by Susan
Troutman ’06. Troutman's CCES record totalled 1,235
points. Latham, who played for CCES only in grades 7, 8, 9, and
12, surpassed that by 14 points.
"Can you imagine what she could have accomplished if she had
been at CCES in 10th and 11th grades ? It would have been amazing,"
said Coach Pielou. Latham attended boarding school during her sophomore
and junior years.
The embodiment of the scholar athlete, Latham will attend Yale University
in the fall. She was recently named a Presidential
Scholar and was inducted into the Cum
Laude Society.
Congratulations, Katherine!
