Experience:
Rod Grandy was born in Dalton, Georgia, and grew up in Texas and
Louisiana. After earning his M.B.A. degree, he launched his career
in corporate banking in 1980. In 1986 he moved to Little Rock, Arkansas,
to work for a private equity firm and engage in leveraged buy-out
activities.
After
the sale of his business interests in 1992, he and his family moved
to Greenville, SC. Since then, Mr. Grandy has been involved in the
management and ownership of an investment banking firm and various
manufacturing and business service companies. In the past decade
he has held positions as Founding Partner of Azalea Capital, LLC;
CEO of Engineered Textile Group, Inc.; Managing Member of Engineered
Textile Holdings, LLC; and Manager/President of several investment
holding companies. He has served as a board director for nine operating
companies over the past ten years.
