Experience:
Mr. Hassold has 23 yearsof experience in the telecommunications
industry, primarily with startup telecom companies where Ted has
served in a variety of roles to grow revenue, serve and retain business
accounts. His high energy and enthusiasm for building successful
startup telecom companies translates well to the energy necessary
for sustained growth in the education field.
After
graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1984, he joined
startup Tel-Man Communications, where he served in a variety of
sales leadership positions. In 1988 when Mr. Hassold was serving
as Regional Sales Manager for Eastern North Carolina, Tel-Man was
sold to MCI Communications and he became the National Director of
Sales for the Dealer Division. In 1989, he became a partner in starting
Corporate Telemanagement Group (CTG) and helped to build it into
an Inc. 500 Company, eventually selling to LCI, now Qwest Communications.
From 1996-2000, he served as President of Humaneering International,
which deploys a proprietary performance improvement strategy to
improve profitability by rewarding employees for reducing cost,
increasing efficiencies and boosting performance. In 2000 he joined
NuVox Communications, where he currently serves as Vice President
of Account Management for the eighth largest service provider in
the United States.
As
an alumnus of CCES, he brings a passion and strong institutional
memory to the school and its fundamental mission to educate and
graduate students who will successfully serve the greater good of
the community and the world. He is also very passionate about the
spiritual development of youth, having served in a variety of positions
for youth ministries.

"My three brothers and I all graduated from CCES: Rob Hassold
’72, Jim Hassold ’74, Chuck Hassold ’76, and me
in ’79. Rob's daughter, Anne, and Chuck's daughter, Reid,
are both CCES graduates. I have two children attending now: Austin
’11 and Bridget ’13. My mother, Anne Hassold, started
the school's Field Hockey program in the early seventies."
