One of the challenges for every school in caring for its community is to provide an environment that is intellectually, emotionally, and physically safe.

Strengths
- 24-hour security, seven days a week

- Campus security monitors police band radio

- Subscribers throughout the campus to “Crimewatch”

- Improved lighting in Lower School parking lot area

- Elimination of potentially hazardous debris from trees

Challenges
- Making the campus as safe as possible

Initiatives
- Improving emergency communication to parents through implementation of an “Alert Now” system that will instantly notify (electronically) every member of the CCES community of emergency events.

- Studying use of swipe cards for electronic access to buildings

- Assessing improvements to the Upper and Middle School entrances to better monitor and channel students and visitors
