With groundbreaking for the new campus chapel on the horizon, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of one special donor and of the entire school community, this issue of Highlights celebrates the school's Episcopal tradition: "the soul of CCES."

Articles by alumni and former faculty describe the school's chapel program in its early years and today and visit our Epiphany Scholars to see where they are now.

There are profiles of Hobby Outten '85, Elliott Goldsmith '96, and current religion teacher C.J. Ditzenberger, whose children's books fill an entire library shelf.

Melissa Morrow '00 writes about how her career plans were shaped by CCES. An article about Nancy Baker's retirement this summer reveal how two former students in high places arranged to recognize her contributions to CCES.

The pages of Highlights also include tributes to Carolyn Ruff, Gordon Blackwell, Tally Parham, Sports Hall of Fame inductees Park Owings '82 and Brian Marchant '91, Chad Odom '88, Robin Kowalski '82, Bill Mitchell '88, and others.

And, of course, you won't want to miss 23 full pages of Class News!
