"CCES
has exceeded my expectations thus far. Not only is the curriculum
challenging, the teachers encouraging and the facilities second
to none in Greenville, but the nurturing environment that these
children are learning in is exceptional."
The
CCES of long ago provided a strong foundation in so many areas of
my life. But I am most impressed with the CCES of today. It has
become stronger over the years not only in academics, but in teaching
its students
how to live and work in the community and world around them. Above
all, CCES strives to teach these children how to make their community
a better place for everyone.
I can
only speak as a parent of Lower School children, but CCES has exceeded
my expectations thus far. Not only is the curriculum challenging,
the teachers encouraging and the facilities second to none in Greenville,
but the nurturing environment that these children are learning in
is exceptional. Daily devotions, twice a week chapel services (led
by the children) and Christian Education classes provide a strong
foundation for the values and morals of these children. They are
taught to give to their community and especially those who are less
fortunate. They are encouraged to value differences in themselves
and others.
CCES
also provides numerous leadership opportunities for these children
that not only help them grow in self-esteem, but also prepare them
for a successful transition into Middle School, Upper School and
the world beyond. Group Projects (now common for these young children)
are invaluable in teaching them how to successfully work with others
who have different perspectives as well as personalities. We all
know how valuable these skills are for college and the workplace.
