Combining our usual winter and summer issues, the current 64-page
issue of Highlights is a tribute to the CCES community
on many levels.
This issue includes the awards, college choices, and scholarships
of the Class of 2007.
And, an extensive section on the theme of leadership features articles
about graduates, students, teachers, and parents.
You'll want to read about the leading role our faculty play in the
worldwide International Baccalaureate Organization, influencing
teachers and schools around the globe.
You'll want to hear what the school's 2006-07 student leaders had
to say about their leadership roles at CCES during a roundtable
discussion convened by Barbara Carter.
You'll want to read about alumni, such as Billy Campbell
’78, Marty Truslow Lanahan ’82,
and Wendy Nipper Homeyer ’90, and the lessons
they have demonstrated and learned about leadership in their careers.
You'll be interested in the connection between Leadership Greenville
and CCES, and in the role former CCES Vice Chair Minor Mickel
Shaw has played in shaping Greenville Vision 2025.
"Profiles in Philanthropy" memorializes Dr. Francis
Thompson Smith with a tribute and photos from his life.
And, of course, there are the class notes, reports and photos from
reunions 2007, and a photo essay on the 2007 Alumni Career Program,
featuring Ann Hayes ’77 as keynote speaker.
