What could be better than an expedition to the Discovery Garden
on a beautiful Indian summer day?

Lower School Discovery teacher Becky McDow equipped
Grace Toler's primers with binoculars and
magnifying glasses. They were going to observe nature closely.

Nature had so many secrets to reveal,

like this exoskeleton! (Well, maybe that's not what it was, but
this young scientist had learned what
an exoskeleton was, and he was going to find an opportunity to use
that word!)

The students didn't need magnifying glasses to discover the texture
of lambs ears leaves--they just
needed their fingers.

Even pebbles could be a new discovery!

The treasures of nature are there for us to find and appreciate,

but it is soon time to line up and return to class

for a new adventure in learning!
