Two Students Accepted into SC Music Educators Association Elementary Honor Choir

Lower School music teacher Joy Hughes announced that fourth-graders Emile Batchelder-Schwab and Maggie Ramirez were accepted into the South Carolina Music Educators Association Elementary Honor Choir.

The students will perform at the Charleston Convention Center at 11:15 on Saturday morning, Feb. 9, during the South Carolina music teachers conference under the direction of Henry Leck, one of the foremost children's choral directors in the country.

To be selected for the honors choir, the students, working with Ms. Hughes, prepared and submitted an audition recording, which was judged by a committee of music teachers.
