Lights,
camera, action! Second grade students steal the show with their
new starring roles on the CCES website. The students wrote and starred
in their own commercials advertising their favorite summer reading
books. Lower School Librarian Melissa Adair took
on the new titles of “director” and “camera person”
during the month of September to help with the project. Adair
came up with the idea for the videos when the second grade teachers
were looking for a new way for students to present their book reports.
The information in each commercial varied according to what the
students thought would hook potential readers, with one young student
especially impressed with the reasonable $4.95 price of his book.
All of the commercials show the enthusiasm this group has for reading,
and showcases their newfound acting talents as well!
