The students played with a lot of heart.

And though the final score was close, the Middle School faculty
and staff
once more defeated the students.

In the seven year history of the game, the students have managed
just one
win, in 2003.

It clearly isn't from a lack of skills.

But the teachers have a definite height advantage, and they go in
with their game faces on.

A big advantage for this year's faculty team was rookie Carlos
Littlejohn,
who let the students know that they might have to defend the dunk.

Returning faculty players were strong on offense and defense, often
despite their somewhat eccentric, cumbersome uniforms.

Student players were terrific, sinking three pointers and foul shots
like pros.

In the end, the students fell short
with a final score of 22 to 19, but
they are vowing that next year, they
will overtake their arch-rivals, the
Faculty.
