CCES Headmaster Lee Cox and School Board Trustee
Charles Mickel presented Middle School librarian
Kay Daniel with the 2007-08 Daniel-Mickel Foundation
Master Teacher Award at the Middle School Awards Assembly held on
Monday, May 21, in the school auditorium.
In announcing the award, which he termed "the highest honor
that CCES can bestow on a faculty member," Dr. Cox praised
Mrs. Daniel as "a consistent model of all that a true professional
should be and all that we value at CCES."

In support of her nomination for the prestigious faculty honor,
which carries with it a $2,500 monetary award, Assistant Middle
School Director Betsy Burton wrote of Mrs. Daniel,
"It is her gentle personality, her willingness to serve beyond
the confines of her assigned duties, and her ability to suggest
'just the right book' for any given individual that makes her an
incredible role model for students and for faculty."
Mrs. Daniel has been teaching for 18 years, all of them at CCES.
Please congratulate Master Teacher Kay Daniel on her achievement.
