Adventure Camp

Welcome to our Adventure Camp program! Adventure Camp offers a community-oriented environment in which children have fun as they sample different activities throughout the day.

How It Works: Adventure Camp is open to all children in rising grades K5 – 5. Camp hours run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. You may register your child to receive snacks from our Camp Canteen or you may bring these items from home. All campers should bring a lunch from home. Please put sunscreen on your child each day before camp. Campers should also wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Each day allows for new adventures your child will not want to miss! One thing we can guarantee – no two weeks of Adventure Camp will be the same! You will receive an e-mail prior to the start of camp providing more detail regarding your specific week. There is also additional information regarding counselors and weekly descriptions on our website.

Camp Schedule
Each of our weeks has a different theme. Weekly activities and field trips will revolve around aspects of that topic.

June 7 – 11: Animaniacs
Instructor: Mrs. Tina Batchelder-Schwab

This week campers will explore animals from the farm, the sea, and Africa. Fieldtrips will include a trip a local farm to learn more about farm animals and the "jobs" that they do to help us every day and a trip to the Hollywild Animal Park in Greer to see African animals on safari! Don’t forget your binoculars! Campers will also cook animal-themed foods (not necessarily made from animals) and make animal masks and crafts throughout the week!

June 14 – 18: Explorers
Instructor: Mrs. Tina Batchelder-Schwab

Come explore with us in Young Explorers! Each day will have a different “explorer” theme including land, space, sea, and more! Campers will look at famous explorers and their adventures. They will also take a fieldtrip to Paris Mountain State Park to explore the trails and build shelters like the first explorers! Other explorations include designing and building a space station and creating a map that shows the landmarks and pathways of our campus!

June 21 – 25: School House Rocks - $250
Instructor: The Peace Center

The Peace Center for the Performing Arts and CCES are partnering to present this rockin’ one week camp. If you love to sing, dance and act you'll have a great time as we put together a performance of School House Rocks. Whether you want to be on stage or work behind the scenes, this camp will have something for everyone interested in learning more about the performing arts.

June 28 – July 2: Ultimate Recess
Instructor: Mr. Trey Skaggs

Do you like PE and recess time? If so, then make plans to join us for the ultimate week of sports and team building games. Indoor and outdoor, we'll play them all! From kickball and capture the flag to sports trivia and field day races on the track, it will be so much fun we'll have to drag you out of the sun. So lace up and grab your water bottle, it's gonna be a scorcher!

July 6 – 9: Surfin’ USA (full-day and half-day options)

Please note that this is a 4-day camp due to the holiday. Early and Late stay are not provided with this program and lunch is not included in the camp fee. More information regarding lunch will be sent home closer to camp, however we do know that the last day will be a good ‘ole American style cookout!

July 12 – 16: Artistic Expressions
Camp Full
Instructor: Ms. Caroline Langford

This fun new class will teach your child how to use art in a therapeutic manner from scribble drawing to splatter painting. Come get colorful and crazy in Artistic Expressions. Making art is not only about talent but also about expressing ourselves in new and innovative ways. It can be used to say things we cannot put into words such as “I Love You” or “That hurt my feelings.” It can calm us down when we are frustrated or angry and can excite and entertain us when we are bored. Join us on the artistic adventure through the world of art!

July 19 – 23: Water Mania & Summertime Fun
Camp Full
Instructor: Mrs. Caroline Bethel

Join us for a week that is all about water and everyone's favorite summertime fun! Just imagine a week of things that you love to do in the summer topped off with tons of outside water fun! What week would be complete without sprinkler games, a cookout, arts and crafts, water races, swimming, and more? During this program, we will also explore “green” ideas such as conservation and recycling, as we complete activities, art projects, and games that will be fun for all. So don't spend this week at home, come have a blast during Water Mania and Summertime Fun! Each day campers should come in a bathing suit and water shoes. Remember to bring a change of clothes, towel and most importantly...put your sunscreen on!

July 26 – 30: Bon Appétit!
Instructor: Mrs. Tippi Sadler

Do you like to play with your food? Who doesn't, right? This fun-filled week will allow campers the opportunity to use math, science, language arts, computer skills, and yes even art to create their own edible masterpieces. There may even be a little friendly competition, Iron Chef style! Through activities, projects, games, and more campers will explore nutrition, fruits, veggies, and cooking all while creating yummy messes of fun!
