Basketball Academy

This camp is designed for players who want to improve their individual fundamentals and team skills. Specific
areas of concentration will be ball handling, shooting, one-on-one skills, perimeter player moves, player-to-player
defense, transition offense, and transition defense. Campers receive a free basketball and Cavalier Basketball
T-shirt. Daily snack is also included.

Hoops Troops - Basketball
June 23 – 27 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising Grades K5 – 5 • $99/week

Come learn and have fun at the same time! This camp includes instruction
in basic basketball skills, including passing, dribbling, shooting and teambuilding
plays. We will work on the fundamentals while also improving skills
that campers already possess. Campers will be divided by age and skill
level. All participants need to wear proper athletic clothing and shoes, and
everyone should bring a water bottle. Campers receive a Cavalier Hoops
Troops T-shirt and a daily snack.

Spirit Cheer Camp

Come join in the fun! Under the supervision of Andrea Fox, CCES JV Football Cheerleaders teach cheers, chants,
and dances. Participants should wear shorts and tennis shoes, and should use soft hair closures. Parents and
friends are invited to join us on Friday, July 25th, at 11:30 for a fun-filled pep rally. Don’t miss out on this fun

Football Specialty Camp

This camp is designed for the player who has aspirations of one day
playing the game at the high school level. In this specialty camp,
members of the football staff will work with athletes on the basics of the
game, including passing, catching, punting, and kicking as well as positionspecific
techniques for linemen defensive players, and skill positions such
as quarterback, running back, and receiver. Come join us for a fun week of
football camp!

Mini-Cavs Football Camp

It is never too early to begin learning the basics of passing, catching, punting, and kicking! This exciting camp,
returning for its third year, will be led by members of the CCES football staff and will take the future player-to-be
through a week-long introduction to the basic skills of the game! No equipment will be necessary for this funfilled
week, which will culminate with a flag football scrimmage for parents and friends to enjoy. Campers are
encouraged to wear football cleats/turf cleats, comfortable summer clothing, and sunscreen.

Black Belt Camp for All Skill Levels
July 28 – August 1 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising Grades K5 – 5 • $99/week

Coaches: Downtown Martial Arts & Former Police Officer

A fun, dynamic class teaching the techniques every black belt needs to
know! Beginner and experienced students alike will benefit from this
class where they will learn the most effective self-defense tools and a
black belt mindset. The final (Friday) class will cover “Stranger Danger”
and include strategies for staying safe. This class will be taught by a
former police officer, and parents are welcome to attend with their child.

Coach: Angela Pitts, Multi-National Champion, USARS 7 RSA certified coach, Roller Time LLC

Come join the fun! Angela Pitts is a Multi-National Champion and certified USARS and RSA coach in freestyle,
dance, and figures, and she has more than ten years of experience in teaching all levels, from beginner to
accomplished skaters interested in competition. Roller Time instructors teach how to balance, skate forward
and backward, fall and recover, toe stop and more. Campers will also improve gross motor control, strengthen
their self-esteem, and broaden their musical exposure. On Friday, parents are invited at the end of class as each
student performs a routine to earn a certificate. Campers are taught on quad skates only. Rental skates are
provided for students, if instructors are notified prior to the first class. Camp cost
includes T-shirt and daily snack.

Cavalier Soccer Camp
June 16 – 20 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising Grades K5 – 5th • $99/week

Coaches: David Wilcox, CCES Head Varsity Soccer Coach, led team to SCHSL Class A
state championship every year since 2001.
David Craig, Eastside Varsity Boys Head Coach, led team to SCHSL Class AAA state
championship in 2005.
Frank Kucinic, St. Joseph Head Varsity Soccer Coach, led boys to SCISA state championship
in 2006 & 2007 and girls to SCHSL state championship in 2001.

Cavalier Soccer Camp is co-ed and designed for recreation players. The focus will be
on basic skills and tactics necessary to succeed in soccer. The camp will incorporate
a number of games and contests to practice these skills in a competitive and exciting learning environment. Each
player will be evaluated and given feedback on how he/she can continue to improve as a player. Camp will end
each day with competitive matches.

Tennis Anyone?
July 7 – 11 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising Grades 3 – 8 • $110/week

Coaches: Scott & assistants from the Greenville County Rec Center

Come join us for a wonderful week of tennis! Great for beginners and lower-intermediates who want to learn
the basics, this camp will be full of fun. Campers will learn basic skills, such as serving, forehand, backhand,
footwork, and hitting high and low. The fundamentals of scoring and match play will also be discussed, with the
final day ending in a mini-tournament. This is a camp you won’t want to miss!

Cavalier Wrestling Camp
June 16 – 20 • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. • Rising Grades 5 – 10 • $99/week

Coach: Tyrone Talbert, assistant coach at CCES and former Head Coach at Georgetown High School

The Cavalier Wrestling Summer Camp is designed to provide competitive wrestling skills and techniques in a
strong learning environment. Wrestlers will learn sportsmanship, fundamental and advanced techniques, as well
as skills that are vital to reaching their fullest potential. Wrestlers will be evaluated for strengths and weaknesses
in technique and instructed in the skills they need to develop and refine to become better wrestlers. Instruction
will include wrestling techniques, mental and physical preparation exercises, and individual and small group
instruction.

Mini-Cavs Wrestling Camp

Cavalier Mini-Cavs Wrestling camp will teach the basic fundamentals of wrestling in a fun-filled and relaxed
environment. Campers will be instructed on basic moves, pinning combinations, defense, and much more. Each
day will focus on a different skill so that campers can learn the fundamentals and expand on what they already
know. On Friday there will be a mock tournament where the boys can put into action what they have learned
throughout the week. Parents and friends are invited to see this wrestling showdown! Come join us for a fun
week of wrestling!
