Hollywood Stars!
June 23 – 27 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising Grades K5 – 5 • $60/week

Cavalier drama camp is waiting for you! In this fun and exciting week we will learn how to improvise and project
our voices and expressions through games and role playing! We will work on lines and music for our own
short production that we will present to our friends and family on Friday. We will even create our own sets and
costumes!

Broadway Baby!
July 7 – 11 • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. • Rising Grades 5 – 8 • $75/week

Instructor: Tina Batchelder-Schwab, CCES Middle School Music teacher
In this intensive, performance-based week, we will use scenes from popular Broadway shows to learn about building ensembles and being involved in all aspects of theatre performance. We will be assigned roles, both on stage and
off, for each scene. On Friday, we will put on a show for our family and friends.

Limit: 15 students
Join South Carolina Children’s Theatre in an action-packed camp that is sure to dazzle! Develop characters,
teamwork, and performance skills through acting games and improvisation. Learn theatre terminology and
rehearsal technique as we spend the week getting ready for a mini-performance at 3:30 p.m. on Friday for family
and friends. See you in the spotlight!

Actors Studio

Instructor: South Carolina Children’s Theatre
Limit: 15 students
SCCT brings a world of expertise to Summer Encounters teens in an intensive one-week camp focused on basic
acting skills. Theatre games and improvisation will develop performance skills, encourage creative problemsolving,
and build confidence. Students will explore individual creativity and imagination in a group setting, while
learning basic character development and theatre terminology. The week will culminate in an informal play that
will be shared on the last day of class with family and friends.
