Come get the beat and join in the rhythm at Paul T. Riddle’s
Drum Camp! This camp is designed for beginner
and intermediate students. All students will be recording on Thursday
at Southeastern Sound Studios.
There will be a recital for family and friends on the Friday of
each session. Fee includes trip to Southeastern
Sound Studios and a CD of their recording.

Instructor: Anna Moo
Award-winning songwriter and recording artist of music for children,
Anna Moo tours nationally
presenting concerts for schools, libraries, festivals, and houses
of worship. Her dynamic presentations are
educational, entertaining and enlightening! She has received Five
Parent's Choice Awards, American Library
Association awards as well as multiple Grammy considerations for
her songs. Moo's musical styles range from
pop to rock, blues, jazz, folk, and country. Praised internationally
for her songs that celebrate cultural diversity, her
music and lyrics reflect positive character development. Children
are immediately engaged participants, and will
fondly remember an Anna Moo program for the rest of their lives!
All-State
Band Audition Preparation
July 21 – 25 • 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. • Rising
Grades 6-12 with one year of band experience • $99/week
Instructor: Rita James, CCES Band Director
This class is designed to help prepare band students with at least
one year of band experience for the All-State
band auditions. Students will receive tutoring with the materials
necessary to audition (try out) for All-State Band.
We will cover major scales, terms, sight-reading, chromatic scale,
and the etude required for each instrument. If
you have any desire to try out for All-State Band in 2009, you won’t
want to miss this wonderful preparation program!
Feel
the Beat!
June 16 – 20 • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. • Rising
Grades 3 – 6 • $75/week
Instructor: Tina Batchelder-Schwab, CCES Middle School Music teacher
Tap your toes, beat your drums, and groove with the music! We will
study and perform music on xylophones,
drums, maracas and many other percussion instruments. We will explore
music from Japan, the Caribbean, Africa
and Europe. On Friday, we will perform for friends and family! Don’t
miss out on this wonderful class!
