Eligibility
Enrollment in CCES Summer Encounters is open to children from all Greenville independent and public schools as well as home schoolers. Registrants for K5 programs must be 5 years old by September 1, 2008.

Location
All of our camps take place at Christ Church Episcopal School located at 555 Wenwood Road, Greenville, SC 29607. When you arrive for a camp at CCES, you will use the Middle School entrance and check in at the registration desk in the Middle School lobby.

Registration
To register for CCES Summer Encounters, you must complete a registration form for each child. You may use the registration forms at the end of this booklet or register online. To register online, please visit www.cces.org and click on Summer Encounters in the top right corner. Online payment must be made with a credit card. Full payment is due at the time of registration and includes a one-time, nonrefundable registration fee of $25/child.

Once we receive your registration forms and registration fee, we will hold your spot for the particular programs that you have selected. A follow-up acceptance notification or email is sent to all families once registration is complete. All camp participants will receive a T-shirt.

Class Size
At CCES Summer Encounters, we strive to have a 10:1 student to teacher ratio. Classes fill on a first come, first served basis. After a class reaches its enrollment capacity, a waiting list will be started. Many classes fill quickly, so make sure to register early!

Payment
When registering, a one-time, $25 registration fee is required for each child. Full payment for all camps is due at time of registration. You may pay by check or credit card. Please make checks payable to: Christ Church Episcopal School or CCES. You must pay by credit card if registering online. Your registration fee is nonrefundable, and after June 1, tuition payments are non refundable.

Snacks & Lunch
Campers have the option of bringing their lunch or eating from our CCES cafeteria. You may choose to add a CCES lunch to your camp options. If you are not staying for the full day and your program ends at 12 p.m. or does not start until 1 p.m., you can still choose to stay late or come early to enjoy our food. You may choose this option on our registration page. Snacks will be provided for all of our camps.

Mix & Match Your Camp Day
The best thing about Summer Encounters is that you are in control of what your child does each day! We don’t just have one camp option each week – we provide you with many different options. You can choose to come to one of our 9 a.m. -12 p.m. morning programs, one of our 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. afternoon programs, or stay for both! As long as the times of the programs don’t overlap, you can do anything you want! Mix & Match as much as you like; your child will be escorted from each activity by the Summer Encounters staff. Just remember, make sure the classes don’t overlap, and you can design a fully customized summer experience for your child!

Changes & Refunds
This brochure was printed several months before the start day of our Summer Encounters program. Due to changes in counselors’ availability, we reserve the right to make changes to the schedule as necessary. We expect these changes to be minimal and will inform you of any changes prior to the beginning of camp. If a camp must be cancelled, a full refund will be provided for the price of the camp. There will be no refunds for withdrawals after June 1. A $25 processing fee will be assessed to any changes made in the schedule prior to June 1. The $25 registration fee is non-refundable for any cancellations prior to June 1.

What to Bring & Wear
Please make sure that your child has on good shoes for his or her particular activity, wears lots
of sunscreen, and brings a water bottle. We will have water available, but many children like to bring their own water bottle. Dress code is informal, but campers must use good judgment in their choice of clothing. Shoes, sandals, etc., must be worn at all times, and while shorts, jeans, and t-shirts are allowed, no clothing may display logos suggesting sexual, alcohol or drug-related themes or any offensive language. Please clearly mark the name of your child on everything that he or she brings to Summer Encounters

Extended Stay Hours
CCES offers supervised and enjoyable early and late stay options for children. Early Stay (7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.) and/or Late Stay (4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) can be added to your weekly camp for $40/each.

Behavioral Problems
If there is a situation regarding your child’s misbehavior, the director or counselor of that particular program will take your child aside and remind him or her of proper behavior. If the problem persists, the Summer Encounters Director will speak directly to your child in order to resolve the problem and will also call you, the parent or guardian. If the problem continues after speaking with the parent or guardian, your child will be removed from the program and no refund will be given.

General Policies & Guidelines
No alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, firearms, knives, lighters, fireworks, or explosive materials of any kind are allowed on CCES property at any time. Bringing these prohibited items will result in a child’s immediate dismissal from the program, and no refund will be given. Campers are not allowed in the parking lots during break times.

Campus traffic rules comply with State regulations and rules of courtesy. Drivers are expected to obey these standards. All crossing areas and stop signs must be observed. Violation of traffic rules may result in the vehicle and the operator being banned from driving on campus. Campus Speed Limit: 15 MPH.
