Too old for
camp, but too young for a job? What can I DO this summer? We've got just
the thing for you! Spend a week with girls your age, high school and college
girls, and cool teachers who will amaze you with life lessons, tips and
techniques you can use every day to handle the social pressures in school.
Have you
ever been disappointed by how a friend treated you? Or unsure how to handle
a rumor you heard? Or stumbled through an embarrassing introduction to
a guy? With games, activities, role-playing, in-depth discussions and
guest speakers, you'll have fun learning strategies to guide you through
Middle School … and beyond. You will discover that being a leader
doesn’t necessarily mean being class president… it means solving
problems creatively, doing what you believe is right, and staying true
to yourself. Join the girls of Athena's Path for a week of friendship,
bonding, laughter and surprises you won't forget.
What
Girls Are Saying About Athena’s Path
“Wow
– I can see that I have choices and feel so much more confident.”
“You
learn something new about every girl in camp. It surprised me to see how
much
we are all the same. I want to do this at my school!"
“I
realized my friend was making me feel bad about myself and learned how
to get out of a friendship kindly and gently."
What
Moms Are Saying About Athena’s Path:
“Athena’s
Path opened up lines of dialogue with my daughter that probably would
not have taken place otherwise. We are definitely returning for a second
year.”
“Athena’s
Path reinforced the lessons we’ve been trying to teach and gave
her practical tools for handling situations she has been in and will likely
be in again.”
“My
daughter loved Athena's Path and is already talking about going back next
year. The timing is perfect, as she is going through all of this stuff.
What she learned at AP will really help her work through it all."

Hero’s
Pursuit is a new leadership program for boys to help them handle the challenges
and opportunities boys face in middle school. We know boys have to be
active and busy. This action-packed week is full of hand-on activities
(like changing a bike tire or playing the guitar) with helpful life lessons
tucked in between. The boys will learn to:
- develop
leadership qualities - balance friendships
- compete tactfully - navigate social pressures
- take action in the community - utilize natural inquiry
- use determination to reach success
- respectfully interact with the opposite sex
Hero’s
Pursuit is led by cool male teachers who know middle school boys and the
issues they face in school. High school interns make the activities fun
and help bridge the gap between kids and adults.
What
Boys Are Saying About Hero’s Pursuit:
“I
really want to do this camp again. I can’t wait for the reunion.
The guys were great!”
“I
was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.”
“This
is the only camp I’ve ever wanted to do twice.”
What
Parents Are Saying About Hero’s Pursuit:
“The
best part about the camp was the life skills the boys learned. You know
they don’t listen to their parents! It’s great for them to
learn these lessons from older boys.”
“Awesome! Can we have camp for parents?”
