Algebra I Review Class
June 16 - 27 • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. • $300/2 weeks
Instructor: Anne Barber, Former Chair of the CCES Math Department
Limit: 20 students
Prerequisite: Must have already taken Algebra I; must also be enrolled
in Algebra II, Algebra II Honors, or Geometry for the fall.
This
course will offer a comprehensive review of Algebra I for students
enrolled in Geometry or Algebra II for 2008 - 2009. Topics will
include polynomials and factoring, solving linear equations, graphing
in the coordinate plane, rational expressions and rational equations,
inequalities, irrational numbers, and quadratic equations. Students
need to plan to attend both weeks in order to touch on all the topics
listed. A strong emphasis will be placed on problem-solving and
the topics covered in the second half of Algebra I.
