Hypocrisy,
religion, and deceit make for an irreverent mix in Moliere's famed
satire,Tartuffe, which will be performed on April 23, 24,
and 25 at 8 p.m. in the Upper School Drama Room. The play, also
known as "The Hypocrite," or "L'Imposteur,"
has a colorful history, having been banned from the stage in 1664
by King Louis XIV (and nevertheless performed while he was in Flanders
three years later).

Directed
by drama teacher David Sims (who also plays the
part of the Police Officer), the Cavalier Players cast includes
senior George Washburn as Tartuffe, along with
seniors Katie Atkinson, Elizabeth Beeson,
and Emily Cull; juniors Rachel Amato,
Elizabeth Blake, Emmett Davis,
Thomas Freeman, Grace Sykes, and
Jonathan Pierce; sophomore Dexter Rogers;
and freshman McAdams Christopher.

Price of admission is $10.00. Seating in the Drama Room is limited,
so please arrive early.
