It has become a new Upper School tradition:
the Christmas Luncheon right before break.

This year, with exams set to begin the following Monday, the atmosphere
was less formal,

with faculty carolers,

songs by members of the choir, still dressed in their formal attire
from the morning's Christmas service,

and from the Blue Belles.

French and Spanish classes sang carols too, and let's not forget
the maracas!

The meal was prepared by the Flik dining service and served family
style. The tables were decorated by the freshman moms, who also
prepared the extravagant dessert table.

A special thanks goes to Parents Panel representatives Jennifer
McLeod, Claudette Oliver, Jennifer Sterling, and Jami
Trenor, who organized the Christmas Luncheon this year.

There was a drawing for advisee class luncheons from Chik-Fil-A,
Moe's, Zaxby's, and Papa John's,

and when Barbara Carter's class won the Zaxby's
drawing, Father Richard noted, "I know Mrs. Carter likes Zaxby's,
but honestly, the drawing wasn't fixed!" (Of course not,
Father!)

Then it was everyone-out-of-the-way, the seniors may go to the dessert
table. They descended like locusts, but kindly left a smattering
of cookies, cakes, and brownies for their underclassmen.

All in all, it was a wonderful way to enjoy some food and fun in
the company of friends. It was a wonderful way to loosen up before
the weekend ahead preparing for the next week's exams.
