promise to "rock on" at the May 10 Upstate Music Cares concert to benefit the CCES
Arts Guild, the Fine Arts Center, and the John Wesley United Methodist Breakfast Kitchen
in Greenville.

At a press conference held in the impressive new Fine Arts Center building in Greenville, musicians Steve Watson and Paul Riddle announced the formation of a new non-profit organization whose annual concerts will benefit the community and "inspire young people to pursue music with passion."

Each year the concert will feature a young musician who will join Watson and Riddle on the stage. For its inaugural concert CCES senior and Student Body President Chase Carpenter, who studies jazz guitar with Watson at the Fine Arts Center, will be the featured young performer.

The May 10 concert will benefit the John Wesley United Methodist Breakfast Kitchen, which serves a hot breakfast to the homeless and the needy, as part of Upstate Music Cares' mission to assist families and individuals in need. Representing the breakfast kitchen, Bobby Burch, CCES Asst. to the Headmaster for Community Outreach, noted that on Good Friday the kitchen would add a third meal to its weekly schedule.

The concert will also benefit the Fine Arts Center and the CCES Arts Guild.

Tickets for the event are $40 and may be purchased by calling or visiting the Greenville Little Theatre (864.233.6238) or the Relax the Back retail store (864.987.0555).

So, let's rock on for a good cause--three good causes--and purchase your tickets now!
