As you watch this brief video recap of our Build for the Future Groundbreaking, I hope you feel the same profound sense of gratitude and possibility that filled Carson Stadium on Monday.
The ceremony marked a defining moment in the life of the school, a new chapter in the evolution of our Cavalier community, and a milestone for the entire Upstate. We are here because of more than sixty years of leadership, vision, and steadfast belief in what CCES can be. We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, and we move forward together as one community.
This campus plan was not created in isolation. It reflects countless voices, shared hopes, and a unified commitment to preparing our students for an increasingly interconnected world. As we heard so eloquently from a variety of community members, this project touches every part of our school: the TIDE Center will provide students with a home for creativity, advanced technology, hands-on design, and entrepreneurship; the Sports Performance Building will strengthen wellness, athletic development, and student balance in new and meaningful ways; and the redesigned pedestrian and traffic-flow elements will redefine movement and flow across the campus. Together, these elements will open doors and better position our students—and our region—for global engagement and long-term success.
To our volunteers, donors, faculty, staff, and every family who believes in this work: thank you. Your dedication has brought this vision to life, and I am deeply proud to stand beside you as we begin this new era for CCES and the Upstate.
Let's keep building together,
David Padilla
