Construction Updates

We have officially broken ground on Build for the Future, the largest capital project since the school’s founding. This exciting milestone marks the beginning of our Campus Master Plan—a bold vision that will transform CCES for generations to come.

The project includes a new loop road that will create a fully pedestrian-friendly campus, the 22,000-square-foot TIDE Building (Technology, Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship), and the 56,000-square-foot Sports Performance Building.

This page will serve as your hub for construction updates, photos, and progress reports as we watch our vision for the future take shape.

Campus Safety + Logistics

  • Construction Hours + Campus Protocols
Construction teams will be on campus from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. All non-CCES workers will be wearing distinctive clothing and have been thoroughly vetted by our construction partners.

  • Safety + Security Are Top Priorities
CCES is collaborating closely with Brasfield & Gorrie to maintain the highest possible safety and security for students, faculty, and staff. All construction areas will remain fenced off as standard practice.

  • ReWa Utility Work on Wenwood Drive (Not CCES Related)
Clearing and construction work for ReWa’s Conestee Force Main project has begun on Wenwood Drive. This utility pipe installation project has been in planning for more than 10 years.

  • ReWa Utility Work on Fairforest Way (Not CCES Related)
Road work from ReWa as part of their Conestee Force Main and Junction Box project begins Monday, April 13th, temporarily closing a portion of Fairforest Way for construction. The work is expected to take approximately five weeks to complete; however, as with any construction project, it could be extended. While this may cause some temporary inconvenience, ReWa has assured CCES that it is committed to completing the work as efficiently as possible and minimizing disruptions. We will continue to monitor progress and will share any updates that may impact campus traffic patterns.

Thank You for Your Partnership

Every step brings us closer to a once-in-a-generation transformation of campus—fueling innovation, wellness, and student life for years to come!

The construction schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather and supply impacts.
