Community
Our Episcopal school is a place where everyone matters.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
A spirit of inclusion is a cornerstone of the Episcopal school mission. We intentionally welcome faculty and students of diverse backgrounds and traditions, believing that each person brings something to be valued and respected. We hold that we can differ on many beliefs as long as we find unity in a core commitment to the baptismal covenant: with the help of a loving God, “we will strive to respect the dignity of every human being.”
We believe we are called to be radically hospitable in a world too often divided—to be curious, challenged, and enriched by each other’s differences. We not only seek to understand and celebrate differences, but we also strive to help each member of our school community embrace and express their full identity. We are committed to ensuring
that all feel fully seen, valued, heard, and free to bring their authentic selves into our shared life.
We encourage all who work or study at CCES—Episcopalian and non Episcopalian, Christian and non-Christian, those with faith and those without—to seek deeper clarity in their own worldview and traditions and to live them more fully and faithfully. Above all, Episcopal schools exist not merely to educate but to proclaim the unique worth and
beauty of every human being as a creation of a loving God.
