FAQ

We have compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions in three different categories.  Admission covers questions about the application process, including campus visits, the admission timeline, and financial aid. Student Life includes common questions about academic opportunities, extracurriculars, diversity, and other topics.  Logistics answers common inquiries about transportation, after-school and summer programs, uniforms, the school day, and more.

  • Are CCES students required to wear uniforms?

    Students in grades P-8 wear uniforms. The Upper School students adhere to a dress code. Uniform and dress code information is available in the Parent-Student Handbook.
  • When does school begin/end?

    Lower School: Monday 9:00-3:05, Tuesday-Friday 8:15-3:05
    Middle School: Monday 9:00-3:10, Tuesday-Friday 8:15-3:10
    Upper School: Monday 9:00-3:15, Tuesday-Friday 8:30-3:15
  • Do you offer an after-school program?

    The Lower and Middle schools offer extended stay from 3:05-5:30 for an additional fee. We also offer a variety of after-school activities such as ballet, martial arts, soccer roller-skating, and art for grades P-6 at an additional cost. Click here to learn more.
  • Does CCES offer any summer programs?

    CCES offers a wide variety of summer programs for K4-12th grades. Click here to find out more.
  • How do parents get involved?

    There are many organizations that parents may join in order to get involved with the CCES community: Parents Panel, Parents Organization, the Booster Club, the Arts Guild, etc. There are also many opportunities to volunteer through your child's classroom, the bookstore, the library, etc.
  • How does CCES welcome new students?

    CCES has several programs to ensure our new families feel welcome and part of our community. We have Student Ambassadors, Parent Ambassadors, and the Cavalier Social Connection. All three organizations play an integral role in welcoming new families.
  • What is included in tuition?

    Tuition covers instruction, most textbooks, and certain student-related services. School lunch, after-school activities, and various other items are not included in tuition and fees. To learn more, please visit our Tuition & Fees webpage.
