Welcome to the Arts at CCES

The lights go down…The curtain goes up…
The artwork is hung…The showcase opens…

These are thrilling moments, but the most important one is the moment your student steps onto campus each day. All students at Christ Church Episcopal School benefit from the robust arts curriculum and opportunities offered at every level.
Through extensive research we know students who are engaged in the arts score higher on standardized tests, earn better grades in language arts and math, and exhibit superior performance on executive functioning tasks. Students who are given opportunities to participate in the arts also have shown lifelong expanded engagement in civic life, and are more empathetic towards others.
While our roster of talented instructors at every level provides CCES students with a wide range of curriculum and activities to discover and develop their talents, the arts at CCES are not just for our students!
Parents are a vital part of our arts programming. Arts Guild volunteers assist in every aspect of the arts. Our Arts Guild is the heartbeat of our campus arts activities and we simply could not offer our students the tremendous range of opportunities provided each year without their generous support and engagement. Please take a moment to review the Arts Guild page for more information on how to become involved. Arts Guild members enjoy early access to ticket reservations for all of our drama productions!

It is an honor to join the Arts Department at Christ Church Episcopal School as the Director of the Arts. I look forward to meeting and working with our students, parents, and our dedicated faculty and staff this year.
