Junior Cavs

Junior Cavs Mission

The Junior Cavs program at Christ Church Episcopal School strives to be an outstanding educational, well-organized, sports recreation organization that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete.  Athletes further develop their skill in sport-specific practices lead by knowledgeable coaches and high-level upperclassmen students who serve as models of leadership, character, and the spirit of what it means to be a “Cavalier.” We are committed to creating a positive youth sports culture in which our coaches, parents, and players show sportsmanship, love for the game, and the mission values of Christ Church Episcopal School.

Mission Goals

  • Develop organized, competitive play for athletes in the 4th-6th grade
  • Teach sport-specific skills, strategy, and sportsmanship.
  • Mentor young athletes and model the Cavalier Mindset through all facets of the game - practice and competition, in success and in defeat
  • Create opportunities for students and families to integrate themselves further into the fabric of the CCES community through sport
  • Connect the Lower, Middle, and Upper School students through athletics to allow for mentorship opportunities
  • Serve as ambassadors of Christ Church Episcopal School in the upstate community
