After School Programs & Enrichment

This collection of enrichment programs offer your child the opportunity to discover new talents and explore interests in a fun, safe, nurturing environment.

Extended Stay

With options for both Middle School and Lower School, this convenient, traditional after-school childcare program is available to all students in Primer to Grade 8, for a low daily fee. It begins at the end of the regular school day and goes until 5:30 p.m. on all full school days. Registration is required.  Cost $15/day or $200/month/child. Discounted rates for families with 3+ children are available.

Afternoon Encounters

Afternoon Encounters offers school enrichment sessions each semester, with a variety of courses designed for the currently enrolled CCES student. These classes are for Lower and Middle school students and typically meet once per week and occur right after school until 4:10pm.  Courses change seasonally to cover interests in athletics, art, cooking, outdoor activities, and fees vary depending on the course.  Afternoon Encounters activities can be coupled with Late Stay programs as a complete child care offering for parents.

Holiday Camps

CCES recognizes that school holidays and half days can pose challenges for parents. We are proud to offer special one-day holiday camps on selected dates during the school year. Holiday camps include special activities, games and projects based around a central theme, giving students a fun-filled half day with their friends.

Summer Encounters

Each year CCES offer over 250 unique camp sessions during eleven (11) weeks of the summer on our campus.  Open to the public, Summer Encounters provides full day or half day programs between 9 am and 4 pm.  Campers can explore camp options in Arts & Crafts, Science & Technology, Drama & Music, Sports, Cooking, and Academics. Registration opens early to mid February.

Junior Cavs

The Junior Cavs program at Christ Church Episcopal School is a sports recreation program that provides high-quality playing experiences to  athletes in Kindergarten to Sixth (K-6) grade in a variety of team sports.  During a season, athletes have the opportunity to further develop their skills in sport-specific practices led by knowledgeable coaches and high-level upperclassmen students who serve as models of leadership, character, and the spirit of what it means to be a “Cavalier.” CCES is committed to creating a positive youth sports culture in which our coaches, parents, and players show sportsmanship, love for the game, and the mission values of Christ Church Episcopal School. Current programs include tackle football and cheerleading.
