Three CCES Students Participate in Region II Honors Orchestra

by Jamie Bryant, Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications

Congratulations goes out to Reema Krishniah ‘21, Arya Krishniah ‘24 and Caroline Bruner ‘27!  All three of these ladies took time out of their Spring Break to participate in the Region II Honors Orchestra, presented by the South Carolina Music Educators Association.

Charis Burger, CCES Orchestra Director, was this year’s Region II spokesperson for the performance.

Caroline Bruner won the position of 7th chair in the first violin section for the 6th - 8th Grade Region 2 Honors Orchestra.  “Caroline is full of energy and fire,” said Ms. Burger.  “She is a very talented young lady that is always eager to share her musical knowledge and talent.”

Arya, who won the position of 11th chair in the first violin section for the 9th - 10th Grade is, according to Ms. Burger, very dedicated to practicing her violin.  She even won the school’s first practice challenge with 240 minutes of practice time!

The most senior of the three, Reema, has been playing the violin since elementary school.  She started with the Suzuki program at very early age.  “Reema is a very accomplished violinist, pianist and swimmer,” said Ms. Burger.  She won the position of 9th chair in the first violin section for the 11th - 12th Grade.

Region II is made up of Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens County School Districts.  To view the concert in its entirety, click the link below.
