Board of Visitors

I am honored to be able to serve as the 2018-19 Chair of the Board of Visitors for Christ Church Episcopal School. This will be my sixth year in this role, and every year I am truly amazed by how our students, faculty, coaches, and administrators continue to set ever-higher goals for themselves, ensuring that the CCES experience is always the very best it can be.

While this is certainly evident in terms of academic rigor and wide-ranging opportunities in athletics and the arts, CCES is more than a school. It is a community, a family, and a place where our Episcopal traditions reach far beyond weekly Chapel services and become a way of living in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and in the larger world.

As members of the Board of Visitors, we have the privilege to serve as ambassadors for CCES and to tell others in the greater community about this very special place. Our members, up to 100 in number, are appointed by the Board of Trustees, and we have two meetings a year, in the fall and spring, so that we can stay informed of all that is happening at CCES.

As both a parent and a grandparent of CCES students, I have witnessed first-hand the very positive impact of the school on our children. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve with the Board of Visitors and, in doing so, stay connected to the vibrant life of this very special place that has meant so much to me and my family.

It’s a great day to be a Cavalier!
A CCES education prepares students to think deeply, act responsibly, live vigorously, believe faithfully, lead resolutely, and create imaginatively.
