Historically, materials, supplies and day trips have been billed on an “as occurs” basis each month. Effective 2018-19 school year, these expenses are included in Total Expenses as a convenience to payers for household budget planning purposes. Inclusion of these expenses as a separate line item on enrollment contracts will have no impact on tuition since the expenses have always been charged "as occurs" in the past. The Supplies and Day Trips expenses vary by grade and include, but are not limited to, the following: Lower School: Classroom supplies, novels, and day trips. Middle School: Workbooks, planners, novels, Scholastic magazines, online math and grammar licenses, and day trips. Upper School: English workbooks and novels, online English grammar license, PSAT testing, day trips, and CPR training and commencement materials for seniors.

Additional Information

List of 4 items.

  • Basic Student Accident Insurance

Basic Student Accident Insurance is provided to all students and is included in the tuition charge. In addition, optional accident insurance coverage is available at an additional charge. Information on optional coverage will be e-mailed to you in August 2018.
  • Tuition Refund Insurance

Tuition Refund Insurance is a unique form of insurance that provides families the opportunity to protect their tuition investment. The program refunds a portion of the unused annual tuition when students are withdrawn or dismissed for covered reasons. CCES highly recommends tuition refund insurance if there is any chance that one or more of your student(s) might be withdrawn due to family relocation, significant change in family finances, or other unanticipated developments. Tuition Refund Insurance is required for all new students (with the exception of those electing the Annual Payment plan), all students receiving school-awarded financial aid, students on any type of probation or conditional enrollment, and families with a history of delinquent payments as defined by the Student Account Policies and Procedures. Tuition Refund Insurance is also available to other families on a voluntary basis. The annual premium for this coverage ranges from $376.00 to $513.00, depending upon the student’s grade level. Detailed information and enrollment forms for Tuition Refund Insurance will be available in the Enrollment Contract. Please Note: Students must be enrolled in the insurance plan prior to their first day of attendance and must attend school for 14 consecutive days before the insurance becomes effective.
  • FACTS

Families paying in monthly installments are required to enroll in the FACTS Payment Plan. Annual (one-time) FACTS enrollment fee varies from $48 to $60. Tuition & fees and miscellaneous charges will be drafted from your bank account in either 9 (July-Jan, Mar-Apr) OR 11 (July–Jan, Mar-June) monthly installments. Two payment options are available, either automatic bank draft or credit cards (Visa, MC, AmEx, Discover).  Convenience fees apply.
  • Tuition

Tuition covers only instruction, most textbooks and certain student related services. Miscellaneous charges, which vary by student, include items such as Achievement Center fees, bookstore purchases, late-stay, various testing fees, overnight field trips, Advanced Placement and IB Examinations, personal athletic equipment, musical performances, Junior-Senior Prom, etc. These charges are not included in tuition or Supplies and Day Trips expenses, and are billed on an “as occurs” basis each month. School lunch charges are managed by an outside vendor and are not included in tuition and fees.
A CCES education prepares students to think deeply, act responsibly, live vigorously, believe faithfully, lead resolutely, and create imaginatively.
