SC Academy of Science Award Winners

Middle School students took part in the South Carolina Academy of Science contest, a mail-in contest for students in Grades 4 – 8. Students had a packet of science-related questions they had to answer and mail in to Columbia. CCES had 29 participants and 13 winners at the School, Regional, State, and Grand levels. (5th and 6th grades). 5th graders participated in the 4-6th grade contest and the 6th graders participated in the 6th-8th grade contest. 
 
Congratulations to our 5th grade winners; Carson Bowers (Grand Winner), Blair Kennedy (Grand Winners), Lindsey Bowie (School Winner), Marlon Nawratil (Regional Winner), Garrett Long (School Winner), and Alyssa Matricciani (Regional Winner).
 
Congratulations to our 6th grade winners; Hayden Cart (State Winner), Alexa Perez-Litwin (State Winner), Lily Markalunas (Regional Winner), Martha McDonald (Regional Winner), Lily Thomas (Regional Winner), Arya Krishniah (School Winner), and Mac Spear (School Winner).
