CCES Sends Four Winning Book Trailers to State Competition!

Congratulations to the following CCES Book Trailer Contest Winners. Each winner will receive a cash award and 1st place winners will move on to the SCASL state competition!
 
1st place in Picture Book Category - Bennett Clark '29 with Horrible Bear 

2nd place in the Picture Book Category - Mia Stewart '28 and Eloise Weekes '28 with A Piece of Home

1st place in the Children's Book Category - Vivian Adams '27 and Kate Purtle '27 with Isabel Feeney Star Reporter

2nd pace in the Children's Book Category - Carlyn Brotherton '27, Lilly Champion '27, and Lilly Freely '27 with Ghost

Students prepared for weeks for the contest. There were three categories for the Book Trailer Competition and we were allowed to send one book trailer per category to the state from our school.

Category 1 (Primer - 3rd Grade) - A book from the 2018-2019 Picture Book Awards
Category 1 (Grades 4 - 6)- A book from the 2018-2019 Children's Book nominees
Category 2 - (Grades 6-8) A book from the 2018-2019 Junior Book nominees 
 
CCES had 19 book trailer submissions and students could work in groups or alone.
