Shark Tank: Cavalier Edition

by Maggie Simms, Middle School Learning Specialist

As featured in Alumni Answer Shark Tank Students Burning Questions, which appeared in the recent Spring 2019 edition of Highlights Magazine, this spring our 5th and 6th grade ASCEND students entered the world of Shark Tank: Cavalier Edition.  They participated in a variety of hands on activities: engaging in in-depth conversations with CCES alumni entrepreneurs, studying a handful of marketing strategies, developing a business plan, and designing a logo.  To wrap up the unit, students shared their own business plans and answered questions from our panel of "sharks": Kate Fagan, Laura Bress, and Ben Francis.
