John and Lila Kittredge Dedicate the Webster Outdoor Classroom

by Jamie Bryant, Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications

A grateful Cavalier community recognized the remarkable legacy of the extraordinary Webster family last Friday evening, October 9th, 2020.  John and Lila Kittredge generously donated and dedicated the space in front of a small group of people that included family, faculty and administrators, and the Board of Trustees.

The outdoor classroom, constructed in memory of Lanny and Bill Webster, sits adjacent to the newly constructed Wetlands Laboratory behind the Middle School.  This year, the outdoor space is more important than ever due to the desire of many classes to get outdoors, in the midst of the pandemic, for movement breaks and fresh air.

The sign marking the classroom thanks the Webster family “for a lifetime of Cavalier service from CCES beginnings, through ensuing decades, and continuing for this blessed school’s tomorrows.”
