Congratulations to These Charitable Cavaliers

by Jamie Bryant, Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications

Community Journals and the Community Foundation of Greenville recently recognized individuals, companies, and nonprofit organizations in our community who are making a difference through their devotion to service and giving with their annual Charitable Giving Awards.  CCES is honored and proud to share that four of these individuals are also part of the Cavalier community.

The Visionary Leadership Award went to Carl Sobocinski, current parent to Bella Sobocinski ‘23, Lexie Sobocinski ‘26, and Camila Lopez-Jordan ’26.

The Leadership in Arts Award was presented to the South Carolina Children’s Theatre, whose Executive Director, Debbie Halter Bell, is a Class of 1967 graduate.

Bill Pelham, recipient of the Philanthropic Spirit Award, is parent to alumna Mary Catherine ‘09 and Ana ’21.

Dr. Scott Sasser, parent of alumni Sophie ‘20 and Jack ’19 was honored with the Healthcare Transformation Award.  Dr. Sasser is a practitioner of emergency medicine and a national health leader.

Congratulations to these generous leaders in our community.
