5 CCES Students Selected for Highest South Carolina Orchestra Honors

by Jamie Bryant, Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications

Congratulations to five CCES orchestra students on being selected for South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA) Region Orchestra.

More than 406 auditions were held earlier this month, so these placements and rankings represent a tremendous achievement and honor;

Caroline Bruner, violin, 2nd chair in the 6-8 Junior orchestra
Sierra Kremenliev, cello, 3rd chair in the 9-10 Senior orchestra
Lynne Lominack, violin, 6th chair in the 6-8 Junior orchestra
Christopher Kim, violin, 13th chair in the 6-8 Junior orchestra
Arya Krishniah, violin, 18th chair in the 9-10 Senior orchestra

Hamilton Parks, Assistant Head of Middle School, expressed “Bravo to these students, as well as José A. Carrión, our new Orchestra Director. What a great showing of Cavs there will be in Region Orchestra!”

These students will have the privilege of participating in the Orchestra Region event on November 13th, where they will present a final concert at 5:00 PM at Wade Hampton High School.

“This is such wonderful news,” echoed Kate Fagan, Head of Middle School. “Congratulations to these students and to José on making a difference in the lives of these students in such a short amount of time.”
