Build for the Future Campus Master Plan

Dear Friends,

In the spring of 2021, under the strategic leadership of a visionary Board of Trustees and with input from the administration, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff, CCES undertook the most comprehensive study of its campus in its rich, six-decade history.

The goal was simultaneously to assess what we have done and to craft a thoughtful, intentional, and realistic plan for the future—a plan that would be both achievable and sustainable.

As you will see, the focus is firmly set on how we work together as a community to shape a vision for Cavaliers. The plan covers not only the core seventy two acres upon which we have built experiences since 1971, but also the additional twenty two acres we have added in the past two years. The current footprint of ninety four acres allows us to think strategically about how we can better serve our community both today and tomorrow.

In all that we do, we are constantly reminded of why we undertook this planning in the first place: To expand and enhance the CCES experience for ALL students and faculty.

The result of these efforts is presented below, and I invite you to explore our plans for the CCES Campus of the Future on these webpages.

Our hope is that you see reflected in these plans both a keen sense of appreciation for our current campus home, as well as a sense of what might be. In the coming months, we will study how best to make this vision a reality, especially as the Board of Trustees continues to shape our strategic plan to further focus and hone our planning.

The current campus layout at CCES is both clear evidence of the generosity of past generations and of the willingness to strive for more that marked our founders’ vision. Moving forward, our continued stewardship will ensure this campus serves current and future Cavaliers as effectively as it has those of past generations.

I cannot express fully my excitement about what lies ahead, and I look forward to celebrating the impact of these exciting changes with you all!

Best wishes,
David Padilla
Head of School
