Grade 7 and 8 Middle School Awards Ceremony

On Wednesday, Middle School Director Nick Hinrichsen w
elcomed parents, faculty, and students to the annual 7th and 8th grade Middle School Awards Ceremony.  The awards presentation is a wonderful opportunity to come together and recognize some of the accomplishments of our talented 7th and 8th grade students.
 
The ceremony recognized select members of our 7th and 8th grade classes with awards signifying their accomplishments through participation and performance in academics, athletics, and visual and performing arts.   Winners of each of the awards are selected by the faculty and administration.
 
The Barbara Farr Harrison Reading Award, in honor of an incredible teacher, Barbara Farr Harrison was awarded to Arya Krishniah. The award includes a $2,000 offset to tuition for the 2019-2020 school year.
 
The Christ Church Athletic Department presented The James B. Conyers Sportsmanship Award, named for the beloved first CCES Athletic Director and given to an eighth-grade girl and an eighth-grade boy for their outstanding sportsmanship in interscholastic sports, went to Bella Sobocinski and Thomas Clark.

The final award of the day, The Outstanding Middle School Student Award, which recognizes students who are positive role models for our community and who have achieved excellence in multiple courses throughout their middle school careers went to Thomas Clark, Eliza Hoffman, and Catalina Ossmann.
